
Roberto Schurch (President)
Roberto is a sociologist (Bachelor and Master’s degrees at P. Universidad Católica de Chile) with ten years of professional experience in the field of education. Roberto started his PhD in October 2018 within the School of Education at The University of Queensland and is the current President of UQ Chile Association.

María Francisca Donoso (Vice-President)
Mª Francisca is a sociologist with a Master’s degree in Economics, both from Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. She has always been working of educational topics, from academic and government institutions. She started her career working as a research assistant and then as an academic at Diego Portales University, where she was involved in publications of national and international studies, including PISA and SERCE and the evaluation of educational policies and reforms in Chile and abroad.
Mª Francisca is the current Vice-President of UQ Chile Association.

Francisca Herrera (Secretary)
Francisca is a Lawyer. She studied at Universidad Diego Portales, and holds a Diploma in Litigation and New Procedures by the P. Universidad Catolica de Chile. Francisca has professional experience in the public and private sector, which includes civil courts, law firms as a Litigant Lawyer in criminal and civil law. She is currently studying the Master of Laws at T.C. Beirne School of Law – UQ. She is also the Executive Secretary at the Australian Latin American Young Professionals (ALAYP)

Paulo López (Treasurer)
Paulo is an Engineer in Extractive Metallurgy from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso (PUCV), Chile, with a Postgraduate Diploma in “Responsible Mining” (PUCV Mining Center, Chile) and Postgraduate Diploma in “Mining Management” (Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile). He is a current PhD Student at the School of Mechanical and Mining Engineering (UQ) and Assistant Professor at the PUCV School of Chemical Engineering.

Felipe Retamal-Walter (General Manager)
Felipe has a background in Speech Pathology & Audiology from the U. Valparaiso. He has teaching and clinical experience working at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
He is a current PhD Candidate at the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and his current research explores the nature of engagement in telepractice early intervention for young children with hearing loss and their families.
