I am Senior Lecturer at the School of Civil Engineering at The University of Queensland. My research and teaching activities are centred in structural behaviour, material science, and fire science within the fields of fire safety, structural, and material engineering.
My recent research projects have placed emphasis on the study of fibre reinforced polymers used for prestressing of concrete structures, the occurrence of concrete spalling during fire, and novel fire testing methodologies for materials and structures. Furthermore, I have worked in projects across multiple topics, including testing of innovative composite materials and development of novel fire testing technologies. I have lead several research-driven, as well as product development projects. I’ve also engaged in industry-driven consultancy work involving fire safety and structural engineering. I have undertaken teaching activities in various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Civil Engineering, actively engaging in the development of course material, and collaborated in the academic supervision of multiple undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
Area/Research interests: Structural Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering, Timber Structures, Civil Engineering.
